How do I buy an item?

You can see the seller’s info on their profile, and their reviews from previous rental and sales transactions. Buying through WallaRhubarb means you can pay securely using one of several easy payment options.
What do the different item conditions mean?
Guidelines for the condition of items listed for sale on WallaRhubarb
New A brand-new, unused, unopened item in its original packaging (where applicable).
Used Minor cosmetic damage on the body of the equipment, but nothing that interferes with the functionality of the equipment. Equipment works perfectly.
Refurbished A product restored to like-new condition. Items refurbished by a third party might have just been given a quick once-over before being put up for sale.
When and where should I meet the seller / buyer?
1. Once an offer has been accepted and the payment has cleared, it’s time to meet up with the other person for your local pickup. This is when you should arrange a time and place to meet so that the buyer can inspect the gear and make sure they’re satisfied with the purchase. Generally, you should arrange to meet within 48 hours of payment clearing, but this is up to you and the seller.
Inspect the gear
This is your opportunity to thoroughly test and inspect the equipment. Use this time to check the condition of the gear, and test all its functions to make sure it is performing as expected.
Here are some tips for inspecting gear:
1, For cameras and other electronic equipment, make sure to power on the gear, and check all buttons and systems are working. Connect the item to a power outlet and make sure it powers on and charges correctly, if applicable.
2, For lenses and other optical equipment, check the glass is clean, and the lens is free of dust, dirt or debris. Confirm that all moving parts work correctly.
3, For grip equipment, check that all moving parts are working as expected, and that all necessary pieces are included.
How do I list an item for sale or rental?
Click ‘List an item’ at the top of the website or in your my items page, from there you can list new gear for sale or rental. If your item is in paused status, go to your my items, and to update your listing live.

What does it cost to sell an item on WallaRhubarb?
Listing an item for sale on WallaRhubarb is free – there are no upfront charges, and no membership fees. You can reach a market of tens of thousands of potential buyers, and you’ll only pay a fee when you sell your item. The fee for selling an item on WallaRhubarb is 5%.
When do I get paid for a sale?
Once a transaction has been completed and the payment has been confirmed, you’ll see funds in your account within 3-7 business days.
After the buyer’s 48-hour review period has elapsed, we send funds to your Stripe account. From there, funds are automatically disbursed into your connected bank account. You can setup in your Stripe payout account via the Payout page within your dashboard.
